About the role

The FinOps Manager will play a critical role as the first point of contact for all things cash. You will be responsible for all cash in and cash out of the company including AR, AP, credit control, treasury and FX, including comprehensive bookkeeping. You will ensure transactional finance is operating smoothly adopting robust processes and workflows while leveraging technology to support the company’s growth and the finance team’s analytical capability. This is an exciting role that reports directly into the Financial Controller.

Where and how you’d work

This role can be based in either Antwerp or London and is currently an Office-Mix Hybrid role. This means you would chat with your leader and team for the number of day you need to be together to collaborate and achieve outcomes in close proximity. This is often 1 - 2 days a week. The other days you have flexibility.

What you'll do in your first 6- 12 months

  • Own AR, AP, and treasury environment and automate as far as possible by integrating financial systems and improving processes

  • Significantly improve Working Capital and DSO by creating robust processes and reporting around Aged Receivables and Credit Control

  • Consolidate bookkeeping across our entities to reduce dependency on external accounts by 100%

  • Optimise treasury by giving strong consideration to FX, banking fees, fund flows including the creation of an FX policy to better understand currency fund flows, improve hedging and minimise costs

  • Create and own the 13 week cash flow forecast so that it becomes the backbone of cash management in the business

  • Work with the Financial Controller to continuously achieve a working day 4 close with no significant post-close adjustments needed

  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller on integration and optimization of operational finance systems (e.g., ERP, billing systems, payment gateways, expense management software)

  • Map out and document the operational flow of all Financial operations in order to optimise its different components; identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance scalability controls

What you'll need

  • Deep expertise in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and comprehensive bookkeeping; Treasury and FX would be a plus

  • Experienced in optimizing and automating financial systems (ERP, billing platforms, payment gateways, expense management tools); NetSuite, Spendesk, and TeamLeader would be a plus

  • Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail while remaining meticulously organised

  • Strong understanding of internal controls and a commitment to ensuring finance operations adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies

  • Experience in a high-growth Series B SaaS environment is highly preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners
